Poly Tops Gauchos

Cal Poly had another stellar league performance Friday night in Santa Barbara, under the lights in UC Santa Barbara’s soccer stadium. Cal Poly dominated all aspects of the game in the first half, and jumped out to a big lead early. The gauchos were able to tighten up defensively in  the second half and break the Mustang defense once in the second half, but Cal Poly controlled the ball for most of the game. Among the try scorers were Richard Herbert (2), Jeff van Meter, Thomas Miller, and Alex Murchison, with fullback Richard Harte on the conversions. The final score was Cal Poly 38-10 over UCSB, with the Mustangs looking forward to hosting UCLA next Saturday at home.
