Three Cal Poly Players invited to AIG Collegiate All-Americans Identification Camp

Senior Nate Sylvia and Juniors Connor Cudeback and Alex Wormer have been selected for a chance to be on the AIG Men’s Collegiate All-American team. The three will travel to Chula Vista, CA to show their talents from January 14-16.

Junior Prop Connor Cudeback earned a spot on the U20 All-Americans¬†last year and started against Canada’s U20 men’s team. He played his first appearance for Cal Poly in December against Santa Barbara Rugby Academy since having surgery to repair a leg injury in spring.

Junior Inside Center Alex Wormer is back in San Luis Obispo after studying abroad in Ireland during the fall quarter. He is expected to make his first appearance back in a friendly match at San Diego State on January 21.

Senior Prop Nate Sylvia is coming off of a hot preseason, in which he scored four tries over four games. In his last game, Sylvia scored a hat-trick in his most dominant game yet.

All three players were named All-American Honorable Mentions last season.

33 of the 57 players invited to the camp compete in the D1A Rugby division.
